The 2nd Annual Alaska PFAS Summit will take place May 1-3 in Gustavus.

May 17-19, 2019
GPAC convened the first ever Alaska state-wide PFAS summit in Gustavus in order to gain a common understanding of the science concerning the health effects of PFAS and current state and federal policy that pertains to PFAS, and to develop plans and strategies to address PFAS contamination. The summit launched with a community potluck and dessert auction attended by over 70 people at the Gustavus Inn, followed by two days of presentations and discussion. Over 20 people attended the working portion of the meeting, with participants from Gustavus, Juneau, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Dillingham, New Hampshire, and New York. An outcome of the meeting was the formation of a statewide network, the Alaska PFAS Action Coalition.
